Utopia Console by designer Lara Bohinc is the latest addition to Utopia, the body of work awarded the Miami Design District Commission in December 2023. It conceptualises a utopian future that questions how we might better engage with the natural world.

Utopia console features irregular, bulbous forms, reminiscent of growing cellular organisms and lifeforms. Friendly and dynamic, the piece is suggestive of a living object, with its cell like construction mushrooming into its surrounding space.

The piece is made  in Veneto, Italy from local green veined Verdi Alpi marble, constructed with 5D robotic milling and finished by hand.

It will be shown at Thema x Baranzate Ateliers during Milan Design Week, from 15th - 21st April 2024.
